Stop Starving Gaza: A Solidarity Shabbat

  • Director Park 815 SW Park Ave Portland, OR, 97205 United States (map)

We are witnessing the final stage of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Far too many politicians and media outlets remain silent. People of conscience must speak out: End the genocide. Let Gaza live. We call on elected officials to demand a permanent ceasefire and the immediate entry of humanitarian aid—Stop Starving Gaza.

Join JVP Portland and Al-Awda in a sacred protest—one grounded in Jewish ritual and Palestinian solidarity.

In place of food, we will share in communal action. Our values demand we show up. Our tradition demands we act. We will join many others, all working to disrupt, organize, refuse complicity, take a stand, and create a more just future.

We ask all participants to wear black for this solidarity shabbat to express our collective grief and show unity in mourning.
