Community Fundraising Dinner for Gaza Community Mental Health Programme

Join us on June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Multnomah Friends Meeting House to help raise $15,000 to support the vital work of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP). The people of Gaza continue to face extraordinary challenges as the genocide continues. Founded in 1990, GCMHP is the leading Palestinian organization dedicated to mental health care in Gaza. This fundraiser was organized in partnership with members of Portland’s Palestinian community and allies.

#NotInOurName Campaign

Reject local media and Jewish Federation of Portland claims that criticizing Israel and standing up for Palestinian liberation are antisemitic. Jewish values demand a permanent ceasefire and an end to the illegal occupation and siege. Learn more about our #NotInOurName campaign to change the narrative in Portland.

The Biggest Student Anti-War Movement Since Vietnam

In a matter of days, dozens of Gaza solidarity encampments have sprung up on over a hundred university campuses across the U.S. It’s the biggest student movement since the anti-war protests that swept U.S. universities in the 1960s.

We have a plan to end US support for Israel’s opression of Palestinians.

Jewish Voice for Peace is the largest progressive Jewish anti-Zionist organization in the world. We’re organizing a grassroots, multiracial, cross-class, intergenerational movement of U.S. Jews into solidarity with Palestinian freedom struggle.

If you’ve been looking for a political home for Jews on the left in this perilous moment; if you’ve been wanting a Jewish community with justice at the center; if you’ve been looking to turn your rage and grief into meaningful, strategic action: Join us. You belong here.

Who We Are

We envision a world where all people — from the U.S. to Palestine — live in freedom, justice, equality, and dignity.

Like generations of Jewish leftists before us, we fight for the liberation of all people. We believe that through organizing, we can and will dismantle the institutions and structures that sustain injustice and grow something new, joyful, beautiful, and life-sustaining in their place.

Jewish Community Centered on Justice

We have millennia of Jewish history where our traditions and our communities were not bound up with support for an apartheid government. We have liturgy, poetry, rabbinic debate, jokes, theater, dance, film, and song. Organizing rich in ritual, culture, and art connects us to those histories, and strengthens us in fighting for a future where our people – and all people – live with freedom, dignity, joy, and belonging.
