Students for Justice in Palestine convince Board at Lewis and Clark to pledge divestment from Israel.

• Lewis & Clark College has officially divested from weapons manufacturers and companies complicit in human rights abuses, following a vote by the Board of Trustees to amend the college’s investment policy. The new policy permanently prohibits such investments and includes a requirement for annual public disclosure of endowment holdings.

  This decision follows 18 months of sustained student activism led by Students for Justice in Palestine of Palatine Hill (SJPPH) and marks a major milestone in the national movement for college divestment from the ongoing U.S.-backed Israeli assault on Gaza.
